A Happy Anniversary Capped Off by an Award!
Some milestones are measured in numbers. Others are measured in people. Over the past two weeks, I had the privilege of reflecting on both.
I’m incredibly proud to share that Aligned Tek has been named the #33 Managed Service Provider in the world on the 2026 Channel Partners MSP 501 list.
The MSP 501 is the industry’s benchmark for managed service providers, recognizing companies that demonstrate operational excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. To go from being recognized on last year’s MSPs to Watch list to earning the #33 ranking this year is both humbling and incredibly rewarding.
But the ranking isn’t what has been on my mind the most.
A year ago, we brought together two companies, two teams, and two ways of doing business. We expanded our operational footprint from the Southeast into the MidAtlantic with an ambitious vision of becoming one organization. We knew there would be challenges. Integrating tools, processes, documentation, operational practices, and service delivery models is hard work. It takes patience, persistence, and more than a few difficult conversations.
What I couldn’t have fully appreciated then is just how much trust would become the foundation of everything we accomplished.
Over the last year, I have watched colleagues become teammates and teammates become friends. I’ve watched people embrace change, share ideas freely, support one another through challenges, and genuinely celebrate each other’s successes. Somewhere along the way, “our office” became “our company,” and “their way” and “our way” became simply “the Aligned Tek way.”
That is the achievement I’m most proud of.
On July 1, we celebrated our first anniversary as one team. We kept it simple with donuts in both our Birmingham and Richmond offices.
It was a sweet way to recognize that we’ve come full circle.
What started as two separate organizations has become one unified team, connected not just by shared processes and systems, but by shared trust, friendships, and a common purpose.
The past six months have been dedicated to completing integrations and consolidating platforms so we can realize the benefits of operating at scale. Much of that work happened behind the scenes and rarely gets recognized, but it created the strong operational foundation we needed for the future.
As I look ahead, the next six months are about refinement. My focus will be on fine-tuning our operations, strengthening our contracts and procedures, and continuing to build systems that allow us to grow without compromising the experience we deliver to our clients. Just as importantly, I’ll be investing in an exceptional team of managers who are taking ownership of their departments and helping lead Aligned Tek into its next chapter.
This recognition belongs to every person on our team.
It belongs to the engineers solving problems every day. The project teams delivering seamless implementations. The operations professionals constantly improving how we work. The account managers building trusted client relationships. The leaders who stayed focused on the long game. And every employee who chose to embrace change with grace and determination.

And to my Aligned Tek family, thank you for believing in each other. Thank you for extending trust before it was earned, for choosing collaboration over comfort, and for proving that culture isn’t created by words on a wall. It’s created by people who show up every day with a shared commitment to one another.
Being named #33 on the Channel Partners MSP 501 is an incredible honor, and I am grateful for the recognition.
More than anything, I see it as proof that when talented people trust one another, embrace change, and stay committed to a common purpose, extraordinary things can happen.
